Project Description
A few cynics have said that compared with other world cities Hong Kong is a cultural wasteland. But this characterisation is far from the truth, as evidenced by the 14 public museums and five venues managed by the Government’s Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). For this annual report, I described the museums’ major achievements of the year as well as their plans for the future. I also conducted in-depth interviews with the directors of the museums, which enabled me to capture their enthusiasm for the important work they do in preserving Hong Kong’s rich cultural and scientific legacy.
